Ford Teases Mustang Dark Horse SC Ahead of Official Reveal

Ford Mustang shows off its new Mustang Dark Horse SC just before its official debut. The new version was previewed by four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen via a video that is 24 minutes long posted on Red Bull’s official YouTube channel.

In the video, the new performance car, which is likely to be of the 2026 model year, is alongside other racing cars and a classic Mustang.

The car hosts lots of features, with a unique end and front, a sizable vent seen on the hood, custom carbon fiber wheels, a properly fitted wing at its rear with wider fenders, and a low ride height. We can imagine the SC to be more powerful, as we heard from the video a growl of a supercharger that’s paired to a V8.

Most of the details surrounding the Dark Horse SC remain under wraps. Ford only released its name. The car will make a debut tomorrow, and we will look forward to taking you through each step of what has been released about this new Dark Horse.

The brand has been working on bringing a new successor to the aged Shelby GT500, and looking at the Dark Horse lineup, it seems like the perfect pick for the place. The last GT500 featured a supercharged 5.2-liter V8, and still eyeing the standard Dark Horse, it had a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, which aided in punching out 500 horsepower. We may expect something more of these two models when details are released.
